Tarek Betti has served as Senior Vice President and Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO) for Fresh Del Monte since 2020. He is a seasoned HR executive with more than 20 years of experience in developing and implementing human resources strategies that drive business growth and success. Mr. Betti joined Fresh Del Monte in 2008, developing the programs that became a foundational part of human resources practices at Fresh Del Monte. Over the next 15 years, he took on positions of increasing responsibility, including leading the human resources function in the Middle East and the Asia Pacific regions, collectively covering around 15,000 employees.
Mr. Betti is responsible for leading Fresh Del Monte’s human resources strategy, global talent acquisition, leadership development, diversity and inclusion, organizational design and cultural development, employee education and development, compensation and benefits, HR operations and technology, employee relations, and security. As CHRO, he has changed the function, culture, and impact of HR across the company to support its business goals and strategies as well as the needs and aspirations of its 40,000 employees around the world. Mr. Betti has developed and implemented HR strategies to support the company’s growth and expansion, working closely with other executives to ensure the company has the right talent in place to drive success. He has also overseen the implementation of new programs and initiatives to support employee engagement and development.
Prior to joining Fresh Del Monte, Mr. Betti worked for several large organizations in the media, retail, and waste management sectors. Outside of his work at Fresh Del Monte, he is actively involved in several professional organizations focused on HR and leadership development and is a sought-after speaker on HR topics.
