Community Involvement

Donations and Other Philanthropic Initiatives In Kenya, we donate products to the neighboring community including donations to local schools and churches.

In Colombia, we support COMPARTIR, a non governmental organization that runs 11 homes for victims of violence in the Uraba zone. 1,850 families benefit from our support and donations.  Our subsidiaries in Columbia have a logistics office that supports the fruit purchase contracts and the export of the fruit via ships.

In Brazil, we donate fruit to the SESC Institution's "Mesa Brasil" program. "Mesa Brasil" redistributes the fruit to different organizations that cater primarily to children.

We support governmental and non governmental charity programs including the Mindanao Association for the Blind of the Philippines, SOS Children's Village, Operation Smile, Bantay Bata 163, Down Syndrome Association of the Philippines and Habitat for Humanity Philippines. In 2008, we received recognition from the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) for supporting the government's social programs.

Support for Local and Non-Profit Organizations and Charities In North America, we support many community programs such as the March of Dimes and America's Second Harvest. We also organize blood donation drives at Del Monte facilities throughout the country.

In Korea we sponsor local marathons which help promote healthy lifestyles and communicate the importance of eating fresh fruits and vegetables.
